Ted is currently working as a Software Engineer at Google on the AdWords frontend. Prior to this, Ted worked on several other projects at Google, including MapReduce, Buganizer, and Google's internal job applicant tracking system.
In his free time, Ted dances ballroom and latin semi-competitively with Pamela, teaches ballroom dancing at Stanford, and is a board member on the Stanford Ballroom Dance Team. He and Pamela are currently training to compete at the Novice level in International Standard, and hope to compete in International Latin as well when they find more time to practice.
Ted also enjoys photography, video and board games, traveling, and pretty much anything outdoors on a warm, sunny day.
More about Ted
Pamela was born in the Bay Area, but grew up near Sacramento. She returned to the Bay Area to go to college at UC Berkeley and never left. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a degree in Political Economy, she interned with the Foundation for Sustainable Development and then joined Teach For America. She is currently a TFA corps member working as a high school special education teacher for students with mild to moderate learning disabilities in San Jose. Her favorite things to do in her spare time are ballroom dance and play in the sunshine. She began training for competitive ballroom through UCBD at UC Berkeley after having taken a social class at her local community college, and started dancing with Ted a year and half later, a year after meeting him. Her biggest claim to fame was winning overall Bronze Latin at the Harvard Invitational her first year because it was the largest competition she has attended. She enjoys teaching dance classes on the side through SBDT and used to give piano lessons as well.
